On the same hoist, single-rope offers faster speed with lighter loads, while double-rope is slower but lifts heavier loads. Take the CD-K2 2.5T 220V model: single-rope lifting speed is 8 m/min, rated capacity 1.25 t on single rope, lifting height 12 m; switched to double-rope, the speed halves to 4 m/min, the rated capacity doubles to 2.5 t and the lifting height drops to 6 m accordingly.

Q2. How do I choose between the 220V and 380V models, and why is the lifting height different?

The 220V/50Hz single-phase model can be connected directly to domestic or temporary site power, with a power of 2.2–4.0 kW; it suits shops, warehouses, home renovation and temporary lifting. The 380V/50Hz three-phase model is more energy-efficient and its motor withstands heat better, so it suits long-time use at fixed workshop stations. Within the same model, the 220V version reaches a lifting height of 12 m (6 m double-rope), while the 380V version reaches 30 m (15 m double-rope); the difference comes from motor power and drum rope capacity. So before choosing the voltage, state clearly what power is available on site and how high you need to lift; for export, also confirm the frequency (50/60Hz) and voltage system of the target market.

Q3. Can the lifting height be extended, and what should I watch out for?

The wire rope length can be customized on request, but drum rope capacity is limited: after extension, at least 3 dead turns must remain on the drum, and motor power, unit weight and packing dimensions must be re-checked at the same time. A practical approach is to select from the standard heights (6 / 12 / 15 / 30 m) first, and only request customization when these genuinely fall short; we will then give you the achievable height range plus the corresponding price and freight changes.

Q4. Can it run continuously, and will the motor overheat?

The hoist body must be fixed reliably through a lifting point or bracket, and the load-bearing structure (I-beam, gantry frame, wall bracket) must withstand the rated load plus the impact factor — never hang it on a brick wall, ceiling or temporary structure with expansion bolts alone. The power side must be fitted with earth-leakage protection and an independent switch, and a rain cover must be added for outdoor use. Before first use, run it without load and check the brake, upper and lower limit switches and wire rope spooling; only apply load after confirming everything is normal. Operators must read the manual and carry out periodic inspections as required.
