How to use a hydraulic stacker correctly?

2025-06-13

A hydraulic stacker is an industrial vehicle used for vertical handling and stacking of goods. It is suitable for warehouses, logistics centers, workshops and other places, and can efficiently complete the lifting, handling and short-distance transportation of goods. Users should operate the hydraulic stacker correctly to avoid safety issues.

Safety Notice

Requirements for Operators

Hydraulic stacker is only for use by personnel who have received professional training and obtained the operation qualification.

● Before operation, safety helmets, anti-slip shoes and other protective equipment must be worn.

● It is strictly prohibited to operate after drinking alcohol, being fatigued or taking drugs that affect judgment.

Environmental requirements

● Ensure that the ground in the operation area is flat, dry, free of obstacles or oil stains.

● Operations are prohibited on slopes, steps or soft ground (such as sandy or muddy ground).

● The work area should maintain good lighting to avoid obstructing the line of sight.

Goods Requirements

● The goods should be evenly distributed with a stable center of gravity. Overloading is strictly prohibited (the specific load capacity is indicated on the equipment nameplate).

Hydraulic stacker is prohibited to handle flammable, explosive, corrosive or oversized/oversized goods.

Emergency situation handling

● In case of malfunction or abnormality, press the emergency stop button immediately to cut off the power supply.

● Do not disassemble the equipment without authorization. Professional maintenance personnel should be contacted for handling.

Check Before Operation

Visual inspection

● Check whether the vehicle body, forks, chains, tires and other components are damaged or loose.

● Confirm that the protective devices (such as arm guards and warning lights) are in good condition.

Functional test

● Test whether the functions such as braking, lifting and steering are normal.

● Check whether the battery power or the hydraulic oil level is sufficient.

Confirmation of safety devices

● Ensure that the emergency stop button, limit switch and overload protection device are effective.

Operations Steps

Start-up and driving

● Insert the key (electric type) and turn on the power switch.

● Slowly push the joystick/handle to control the vehicle to move forward or backward, and avoid sudden acceleration.

Cargo handling

● Insert the forks into the bottom of the goods to ensure that the forks fully carry the goods.

● Slowly lift the goods to a safe height (generally no more than 1.5 meters) to avoid blocking the view.

Stacking and unloading

● When approaching the shelf, reduce the speed to ensure that the forks are aligned with the shelf.

● Slowly lower the goods and exit after confirming that they are placed stably.

Parking and closing

● Park the vehicle in the designated area and pull up the handbrake.

● Turn off the power (electric type) and pull out the key.

Maintenance and upkeep

Daily maintenance

● Clean the vehicle body and remove debris from the forks and chains.

● Check the tire pressure or the hydraulic oil level.

Regular maintenance

● Check the lubrication of components such as chains and bearings every month and add lubricating oil if necessary.

● The hydraulic system is inspected by professionals every quarter.

Long-term storage

● Park in a dry and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.

● Cut off the power supply and release the pressure of the hydraulic system.

Common Fault Handling

1.Insufficient battery power or faulty key may cause the vehicle to fail to start. Please charge it in time or replace the key

2.Insufficient hydraulic oil or blocked oil passage will cause the forks to rise and fall slowly. It is necessary to replenish the hydraulic oil in time or clean the oil passage

3. If the tires are worn or the steering system malfunctions, the direction may deviate during driving. In such cases, the tires need to be replaced or maintenance personnel should be contacted

Precautions

1.Passengers are prohibited from driving or climbing hydraulic stackers.

2.It is prohibited to stay for a long time while the goods are being lifted.

3.When operating, you need to keep your attention focused and avoid distractions.
