The HHBB electric chain hoist can operate in both single-fall and double-fall modes. Different lifting hook assemblies are required. Although the hook body appears similar in appearance, the structures of the lower hook block are completely different and non-interchangeable. Hebei Shengyu Hoisting Machinery Manufacturer elaborates on the differences between single-fall and double-fall hooks as follows:
For the single-fall hook of HHBB electric chain hoist, a single load-bearing chain directly drives the hook for lifting and lowering. Motor torque is transmitted through the gearbox to drive the sprocket for chain take-up and pay-off. It features a short transmission path and faster lifting speed. For a 2-ton model, the lifting speed can reach 6.6 m/min, suitable for fast, moderate-light lifting applications.
The double-fall hook adopts a movable sheave inside the lower hook block. The load is shared by two chain strands following the pulley forcesaving principle. With the same motor power, it delivers better load stability, while the lifting speed is halved. The 2-ton model runs at 3.4 m/min. Loads are evenly distributed for smoother operation, ideal for heavy-duty lifting and working conditions requiring low swing.
The HHBB electric chain hoist from Hebei Shengyu supports both single-fall and double-fall operation. Customers should consult our staff for full details prior to purchasing this product. Should you require a quotation, please call: +86-15133220073, or email: sherry@syhoist.com.
