The wire rope is the core load-bearing component of a CD1 electric hoist. There is no fixed, one-size-fits-all replacement interval for a CD1 hoist wire rope — service life depends on how frequently the hoist is used, the lifting conditions, and the degree of day-to-day wear. For equipment acceptance, routine inspection and spare-part planning, purchasers should judge whether replacement is needed with reference to lifting standards and actual site conditions, and order replacement ropes in good time.
Reference replacement intervals (normal duty)
1.Occasional lifting, short daily operating hours — inspect the wire rope within an 18–24 month window and order a replacement as required.
2.Regular daily lifting within the rated load — carry out a full inspection within 12 months and purchase according to the actual wear condition.
3.Continuous operation on production lines, frequent full-load lifts — shorten the interval to 6 months, increase inspection frequency, and stock wire ropes in advance to avoid unplanned downtime.
Once a CD1 hoist wire rope reaches the discard criteria, the hoist must be stopped immediately — regardless of how long the rope has been in service — and a new wire rope must be purchased and fitted. Continued lifting is strictly prohibited. Maintenance of wearing parts such as wire ropes, and the planning of spare-part purchases, are equally critical.
