How to deal with a broken spring of a spring balancer?

Stop using the spring balancer immediately once its internal spring breaks or loses elasticity. Do not operate the faulty equipment to prevent workpieces from falling and causing injuries. First, remove the suspended load, take down the unit steadily, and release residual internal spring force. Dismantle the housing for inspection. If only the spring is deformed or broken, replace it with an original spring of the same specification; never use mismatched spare parts. Slowly release the tension of the reel during replacement to avoid the spring flying out and causing cuts. Wind the spring evenly following the original winding direction, install the limit buckle, then reassemble the housing. If both the spring seat and reel are worn severely, replacing the whole balancer is recommended. After maintenance, conduct an unloaded lifting test. Do not put it into service until stable hovering and smooth movement are confirmed. Regularly lubricate the spring and avoid overloading lifting during daily use to extend the spring’s service life.
